About Me

I'm a web developer/designer, I live in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire (in the UK), and this website is a personal outlet for me to just share my thoughts on programming, films, TV, games and everything else. It's also a showcase of my work and a way for me to keep track of my own projects. This website is a work in progress and I am always developing new functionality. I'll post any updates to the website in my blog, so if you are interested in keeping track of how it's coming along, check there every now and again. I'll update my development blog as often as I can.

As far as information about me goes, that's about all you need to know. If there's anything you want to ask me, or if you have any comments, feel free to contact me.

So begins your journey (if you can call it that, maybe “mental breakdown” fits better) into the world of Frictional Games’ Amnesia: The Dark Descent. As you start to explore, you become familiar with the concept of “sanity”. When Daniel’... Read More

Site Development - "Older entries" button - 20/11/2010

I thought it was about time I did another development blog as it’s been a little while. This one is going to be a step-by-step on how I created the “Older Entries” functionality on my home page using WCF and jQuery. I’ve been studying ASP.NET AJAX for the last month or so and it started as a way for me to apply everything I’ve learned. Initially, when I started developing that functionality, I had decided on using standard ASP.NET AJAX ... Read More

Good and evil are meaningless: morality in games - 26/10/2010

I don't like you, for some reason Imagine for a second that there are two criminals living in your neighbourhood. One of them is a known murderer, known by the community because after an argument with another man, he beat him to within an inch of his life and then shot him in the back of the head, execution style, in front of the entire street. The other is known for breaking into people's homes at night and stealing cutlery. There wou... Read More
